Finally a doctor who does not just prescribe a pill to cure the symptoms and get on, but listens, assesses and recommends dietary changes. And last not least, a doctor who accepts new patients as a mission, because "the people in Nova Scotia need it!"

He is a caring physician. He uses evidence based medicine to make decisions.

I live about 40 mins away from his office but the care we get through them is work every minute. I have been his patient since the day after finding out I was expecting my now 17 month old daughter. His care was amazing, and has continued to be great.

An amazing man with so much knowledge. Dr. Paleta quite simply cares about the person. I feel very blessed to finally have someone that I can trust and confide in 100%. Should he ever leave his practice here it would certainly be a hard, sad blow to patients. I hope we have him forever. : )

He is AMAZING my first visit with him went so well he did more for me in that short time then my old doctor has done for me in 5 years.

I did not feel like Dr. Paletta listened to me when I voiced concerns about my son. He brushed me off when I said I thought my baby had an ear infection and I was getting ready to fly with him. Didn't even check. Took him to ER two days later and found out he had double ear infection that could have ruptured his eardrums had he flown without meds. Also I took our son in for two of his 12 month shots and my husband took him in later for supposed to be the last one, but Dr. Paletta didn't read my son's chart before and gave him all three shots (two of them AGAIN!) Also feel like he doesn't listen, doesn't empathize, doesn't do much when I shared concerns. After the shots, I decided to just find another GP.

Meeting Doctor John Paleta saved my life. He suggested practical dietary changes & I've lost 50 lbs. He's highly intelligent, empathetic, truly listens and respects the patient's wisdom and life experience. I'd recommend Dr Paleta without hesitation. He's one in a billion!

Came all the way from Ontario, to finally find a physician who listens....And for that I am grateful....Paths, they cross for a reason. And we never know whose lives we are meant to touch. Thank You Dr. John.

Dr. Paleta is awesome. He listens and assesses for the entire visit. If you don't have a doctor or thinking about switching, Dr.Paleta is your guy. Jim D

First time meeting him, he was on time, yet didn't rush; showed concern,and wanted to get to know me better in order to monitor my health. I thought he was great.
