I have had Dr SEETHER FOR MANY YEARS.He is one of very few that will do housecalls when necessary.Old School knows best wish he were never to get old .He is 74 and has 100 times kowledge of all new Doctors . All they are teaching new Doctors is how to write more prescriptions.

Dr "Seether" as he is fondly known is the last of his kind. If you are sick he makes special arrangement to see you. His demeanor is thoughtful and caring. He is an older doctor whose practice may be near to an end but everyone whom he sees don't want anyone else. I wish that we could clone him 50 times and set up new clinics where client care is the number 1 goal. His early life was as an orthopedic surgeon so his knowledge exceeds that of an ordinary family doctor. He continues to upgrade his skills by attending special courses. It is my opinion that the medical authority is pressuring him to retire because they see his ways of visiting a sick person in their home is something that the newer doctors do not want the public to see. I think that if more doctors followed Dr Seether's example that Emergency Rooms would not be the crowded "mess" that they are. The other point that I wish to make is, if more doctors visited older patients in their homes, then the beds currently used by seniors awaiting a bed in a nursing home would be non-existent. It would create space for elective surgery patients and shorten the lineups. "Keep leading the way Dr Seether" and some of these young doctors will eventually concur with your ways and will make the health care in Nova Scotia better than any province in Canada.
